just wondering..

before i really sleep tonight..

bigla ko lang naisip: what should i blab about this time? haha. parang kasi walang kwenta naman. wak. wala talaga pumapasok sa isip ko.

let's see...hmmm...

ayan. wala talaga. wait lang. meron na ata.

i'm sleepy pero i don't want to sleep yet. kasi if i sleep na, i'll wake up tomorrow and tomorrow, babalik na ako sa diliman. that means balik na naman sa normal life. study, balik sa dorm, eat, sleep, do requirements...basta! ayoko pa. i still want to enjoy the few remaining hours of my weekend.

btw, i haven't told you guys about my CLOSE encounter with jon avila right? haha. super na-starstruck ako! we were at trinoma, sa may cinema. as in he was like, two feet away from us. puti! tangkad! gwapo! pero that wasn't the real reason why i was happy that night. we watched kungfu panda kasi! grabe, there were no dull moments in that movie. as in every scene, tawa ako ng tawa. one of my fave scenes was when they were doing acupuncture kay Po(?) after training him. they were talking about this serious matter and they thought he wasn't paying attention when all of a sudden, he makes this funny face. suddenly they realize na it wasn't because he wasn't paying attention. it was because his back was so full of needles and probably it hit some nerve kaya ganon yung naging reaction niya. tapos the camera showed his back, it looked as if isa siyang porcupine! haha. (i know you can't really relate/imagine whatever i'm saying. bizarre no?)

last thursday night, my roommates and i were at the dorm as usual. it was actually a boring night. i don't know how horoscopes came into the picture but we were talking about who has what zodiac sign. so to check kung tama kami, we consulted my ever helpful seventeen magazine. tapos nun, i decided to read out loud the predictions for the month of june. what was so funny was that all of them seemed so impossible. for example, yung prediction sakin was that i was going to throw the party of the year and that i was going to receive lots of party invites. the question is, where did all of those invites go? haha. as wala talaga. zilch (kem, remember the zilch discussion? haha). so the lesson is: never believe horoscopes. for more, don't read 'em.

oh well. i guess no matter how empty my mind is, ang dami ko pa ring nasasabi.

and yeah, i have to sleep now. no matter how i try to brainwash myself, i can't take away the fact na it's already 1:30 am so that means monday na. haay...

By The River Piedra I Sat Down And Wept... not!

when i was younger i used to read a lot. kung ngayon, i'm hooked sa gossipgirl at onetreehill, dati i was dead addicted to the babysitters club and sweetvalley series. yeah yeah, old school:) i still remember when i used to copy the handwritings of kristy, mary anne, claudia, stacey, dawn, mallory, jessy(?) and even logan. yuck. memorize ko pa din. hahaha! i used to make sure na i was able to read the book before every book. i was even able to read the first and last book in the series: kristy's big idea and graduation day. i still remember that dawn was my favorite character. i liked her because she seemed so levelheaded and determined. also, she was from california (my favorite state at that time).

i also liked sweetvalley a lot. i preferred elizabeth over jessica 'cause she was the smarter one, and she was the one who always had the solutions to their problems. although the storyline of the book did not really apply to my situation, i never got tired of reading them. from the sweetvalley kids, twins, unicorn club, high, and university, grabe adik talaga.

anyway, the last book i read was "by the river piedra i sat down and wept" by paolo coehlo. i don't know but i was really touched by the love story between the seminarista (forgot his name) and his childhood friend pilar. although it was a bit of new age with all these stuff about unraveling the "feminine side of god" or whatever. parang it just proves that true love conquers everything. the solution we see now may not be the best solution but if we wait for a while and try to be unselfish regarding our decisions, the better path will be revealed. just like in the story, at first it seemed as if pilar was a hindrance between him and his calling. but in the end, it was even pilar who convinced him to follow his calling, not as a seminarista but as a man following what god wants him to do but this time, with pilar by his side.

it has really been a long time since i was hooked into a book. the last time yata was "girls in pants: the third summer of the sisterhood" by ann brashares which has a very different storyline and flow from what i had just recently read. it was the third installment of the "sisterhood of the travelling pants" which is known not only as a book but a chic flick as well.

i do miss being bookish. haha.
eto na naman...procrastinate about reading.:))
